I have been called to the Arizona, Tempe Mission, English speaking.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't initially disappointed. However, I know that the Church is true everywhere and that the people in Arizona mean just as much to God as the people in Italy or Africa or Canada or anywhere else. While I won't have the opportunity to struggle with a language, I will be able to focus on teaching with the Spirit and understanding the doctrine instead of learning grammar. However, it wouldn't surprise me if I picked up a bit of Spanish in the field.
I loved having my family come and I'm so thankful for everything they do for me. It's time for me to go cook dinner for the ward date, but I will write at least two more times before I go to the MTC.
